Over the years, the population of Caye Caulker has doubled and there are now many hotels, motels, hostels, and resorts on the island. The island is seen as a destination for aquatic and island adventure travelers seeking a “laid back” environment for vacationing.
At La Isla Resort, you can enjoy the clear water off the piers on the reef side of the Caye or the sandy white private beach. The existence of La Isla resort has been since 2010 but the regeneration of the NEW La Isla Resort was in 2021. La Isla Owners and Management emphasis is on the experience of our guests here in Caye Caulker, with one main objective i.e. (to ensure that we go over and beyond about all guests’ concerns and queries).
Once on the island, the main mode of transport is simply walking. The roads are well defined, and crossing the island takes 20 minutes at most. Bicycles and golf carts are also common and can be easily rented. Visitors prone to sunburns should take extra precautions, as the island is entirely white coral sand, and reflected sunlight can cause mild sunburns even in the shade. The Island is also used as a popular launch off for scuba diving the great blue hole, with several expeditions per week.
While staying at La Isla Resort, you will be able to book your tours, enjoy our rooftop restaurant and bar, enjoy private time on the beach and dock, watch the barrier reef while swimming in the pool and most of all connect with your family and friends around the fire pit at night. Pure comfort and peace of mind vacation designed just for you to “Leaving footprints In Paradise”!
